Dear Friends,

I am writing to you to ask for help. I am a Counselor and a Humanitarian Clown that travels with Geshundheit Global Outreach(GGO), a sector of the Geshundheit Institute, founded by Dr. Hunter Patch Adams, which encompasses clowning missions, humanitarian aid, building projects and community development around the world. Independently I provide Humanitarian Clowning services in my own community, visiting children's facilities, convalescent homes and organizations for the disabled. For 12 years I worked with the mentally disabled in Los Angeles and Ventura County areas of California. I also worked with the general homeless population and homeless veterans. I am currently living in Tucson, Arizona and work part- time for Prescott College as an Instructor of Psychology and Social Sciences and have a private Counseling practice.

I began Humanitarian Clowning with GGO 2 years ago when I went on a trip to Romania. Our group was made up of health care providers, including doctors, nurses, counselors, massage therapists and also teachers and students. We were from all parts of the world and we came together with a common goal ... to help and to show we care. It was a mission of love. We were hosted by two groups "Bambini in Emergenza" an orphanage in Singureni and "parada", a social service organization in Bucharest. I have included pictures of that trip. The children at this orphanage were rescued from either other orphanages with horrible conditions or were abandoned. Most of them had HIV/AIDS. During the course of this trip we were able to aid these children with medical supplies, maintenance of the buildings, community outreach, and educational materials. We were even able to purchase guitars for the children and to begin an incentive for a music program. In Bucharest we visited many hospitals, convalescent homes and schools. It was truely a mission of Love.

So what I am asking for is donations. These donations will go to pay for the expenses related to more trips. The work in Romania is on- going and there is also work in other places as well. Please see http://www.patchadams.org/ and you can see the outreach trips that are planned. This has become my life's passion and I want more then anything to continue this work. Your donations will help provide the way. You will become a part of this circle of love.

Geshundheit Institute, a non- profit health care organization founded by D. Hunter Patch Adams, is a project in holistic medical care based on the belief that one cannot separate the health of an individual from the health of the family, community, the world and the health care system itself.

Members of the Institute are health practitioners and health educators. Geshundheit's intention is to model creative problem solving and to spark each medical facility to design their own ideal- to deliver health care in a context that is our ideal design and educate other health care practitioners to design their ideal models for care.

In 39- year history, Geshundheit has offered care to tens of thousands, given workshops and lectures in over 65 countries, built and supported clinics, schools, and orphanages from El Salvador to Cambodia, and brought the joy of clowning to parts of the world damaged by violence and injustice.
